The direction is now clear: the EU Deforestation Regulation is moving forward, and Indonesian coffee and cocoa businesses cannot afford to wait.
On 4 May 2026, the European Commission published its simplification review of the EUDR, together with an updated Guidance Document, revised Frequently Asked Questions, and a draft Delegated Act adjusting the product scope of the regulation. While the package introduces some administrative simplifications, the core message for businesses remains unchanged: EUDR compliance is still required, and the implementation timeline remains in place.
Large and medium-sized companies are still expected to comply by 30 December 2026, while micro and small companies will follow by 30 June 2027.
For Indonesian coffee and cocoa businesses, this is a critical moment to move from awareness to preparation.
Market access to the EU will increasingly depend on the ability to demonstrate credible due diligence, traceability, legality verification, supply chain transparency, and proper documentation. Compliance is no longer only a regulatory requirement. It is becoming a key factor in competitiveness, buyer confidence, and long-term market positioning.
To support this transition, Inovasi Digital and MosaiX are hosting a practical webinar with Barry Callebaut Group and Kopi Fabriek, bringing together perspectives from the cocoa and coffee sectors on what EUDR readiness means in practice.
The discussion will focus on practical strategies for companies preparing for EUDR requirements, including how to strengthen supply chain data, improve traceability systems, prepare documentation, and maintain competitiveness in the EU market.
MosaiX and Inovasi Digital support companies through end-to-end EUDR compliance services, including supplier polygon mapping, deforestation-free compliance analysis, legal compliance verification, risk mitigation, due diligence documentation, and monitoring through Agriplot DDS.

For Indonesian coffee and cocoa businesses, the question is no longer whether EUDR preparation is necessary. The real question is how quickly companies can build the systems, evidence, and partnerships needed to stay competitive in the EU market.
Because today, compliance is not only about regulation. It is about future-proofing your business.
