The EUDR is part of the EU’s efforts to ensure that legislation supports climate goals, circular economy, and sustainability in order to achieve the European Green Deal target of carbon neutrality by 2050. The regulation targets deforestation activities, both legal and illegal, that occurred after December 31, 2020. This includes deforestation of both primary forests and other wooded land. The EUDR mandates strict compliance with the regulation and imposes penalties for non-compliance.

In conducting data analysis, Agriplot uses different approaches based on the commodity being analyzed. For palm oil, Agriplot presents data derived from traceability-to-plantations analysis, specifically based on districts. For soy and coffee, Agriplot provides comprehensive data on the sourcing locations of these commodities, enabling operators to geo-locate their supply.
